The Magdalenes

Begun in 1996 as a one time studio project by the ex-Bremen Town and Garage A Trois rhythm section of Kimberly Rullo and J.V. McDonough, the Magdalenes went on to spend the next few years playing in every Boston club and bar of note. Usually pegged as rockabilly, they're sometimes more 'rock' than 'billy' and more 'billy' than 'rock.' But their combination top-notch musicianship, classic songcraft and J.V.'s soulful vocals has won over fans and earned the respect of peers in both camps.
